S.A.F.E. Youth, Supporting an Alcohol Free Environment for our Youth educators, is group of students, parents, community members, civic leaders, law enforcement, health providers and businesses whose mission is to raise awareness about and reduce underage drinking in New Richmond, WI. We are seeking your support in sending out a clear message that as parents and as a community, we believe that underage drinking is unacceptable. Car crashes, unplanned pregnancies, violence, alcohol dependency, impact on learning and brain development.These are just a few of the consequences of underage drinking that cause problems for young people at home, at school, at work, and with the law. And when it’s their problem, it’s your problem too. But you can help. Research shows that teens and “tweens” are receptive to clear, consistent no-use messages from the people and organizations that touch their lives. In the city of New Richmond, SAFE Youth members and supporters are organizing to prevent and reduce underage drinking. |
